Jaws are made in austenitic manganese steel. These parts can reach 3500 kg of weight. The large Jaws are manufactured in Fritenaz (FRI31) or Fritenaz Special (FRI35), when maximum ductility is required. Needs violent or very violent shock to hardening. For medium and small size Jaws, (FRI 32) alloy ensures a good balance between ductility and abrasion, good resistance to deformation and reasonable hardening ability. Used in medium/violent shock situations.
